Stella Partners is a subsidiary of HMS and also acts as the temporary staffing arm of the organization. Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience (critical access facilities a plus)
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit
- Time Management: Exceptional organizational skills and ability to organize time and priorities effectively, asking for direction when appropriate
- Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and deadline pressures
- Demonstrated history of proficiency in the delivery of medical care to adult patients
- Demonstrated successful completion of the MCH Credentialing process
Responsibilities:
- The Nurse Practitioner will evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with the support of the rounding physician as needed.
- You shall perform the medical services faithfully, with due diligence and efficiency, to the best of your ability, and in accordance with the applicable standards of your profession, canons of professional ethics
- HMS expects you to be respectful of your patients, other health care providers, and the physicians and staff of MCH
- These roles include admitting, rounding, and performing consults at the request of other providers
- Identifies and manages chronic medical conditions and provides continuous care to hospitalized inpatients
- Prescribes medications, as necessary
- Writes orders in accordance with current practice guidelines
- Writes complete and comprehensive notes on all patients using appropriate electronic systems consistent with Hospital policy
- Collaborates with the patient care team (physicians, nurses, PT/OT, case management) to develop and facilitate care plan
- Provides urgent evaluation to patients with changes in clinical status
- Eligible for state and federally controlled substances registration
- Quality Improvement: Skills to work efficiently and effectively and strive to do so in all aspects of position
Compensation:
- Per Diem / Part-time
- Up to $1,050/shift ($105/hr)

Hospital Medicine Solutions is seeking an experienced and dedicated Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician to join our healthcare team. As a specialist in both pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with complex respiratory and critical care conditions. This position offers an opportunity to work in a community healthcare environment, providing high-quality care to patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Inpatient / Outpatient hybrid position
- Monday-Friday (office hours)
- No nightly call responsibilities

York Hospital is a non-profit community hospital located in York, Maine. It serves the southern Maine and Seacoast New Hampshire regions. The hospital offers a range of medical services including primary care, emergency care, surgery, imaging services, laboratory services, and specialized medical care in various fields such as cardiology, oncology, orthopedics. York Hospital is known for its commitment to patient-centered care and has been serving the community since it was founded in 1906. Located on the coastline, York is rated one of the best places to live in the Northeast and offers everything from outdoor recreational activities to historical heritage.
Department(s) Overview: ICU:- 6 Bed ICU
- Physician Coverage:
- Rounds in ICU in the morning (AM)
- Transitions to the outpatient clinic in the afternoon (PM) with a reduced patient load
- Pulmonary Critical Care physician’s alternatives with outpatient clinic coverage every other week
- Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider Coverage (7am-7pm, daily)
- Pulmonary and Critical Care Telemedicine physician takes nightly call from 7pm-7am (no HMS physician call responsibilities)
- Census: 15-20 patients/day
- Staffing Model (Mon-Fri)
- 1 Advanced practice provider (dedicated to sleep medicine)
- 1 Pulmonary Critical Care Physician
- Procedures: Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Thoracentesis
- Board Certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care (sleep is a plus)
- Interested in helping grow the Pulmonary and Critical care service-line
- Procedures preferred (outlined above)
- Medical Director position available*
Compensation:
- Total Compensation 400k/year

Pulmonary and Critical Care Responsibilities:
The Pulmonary and Critical care physician will be responsible for managing the patients in the ICU and supervising the critical care advance practice provider dedicated to the service. Additional responsibilities include:- Overall management of patients on critical care unit

- Clinical decision making and collaboration with the critical care advanced practice providers
- Collaborate and participate with quality improvement and safety initiatives
- Professional development and collaboration (nursing staff engagement)
