Dawnne Marie Stevens

Senior Director of Program Operations Dawnne Marie is responsible for Program Operations for HMS, and works in parallel with the executive team to execute on key initiatives. She assists with recruiting in addition to our provider network to ensure standardization and continuity between our associated partners. Dawnne Marie has held this position since April of 2014 and has 25 plus years’ experience in Management and Healthcare.

Venu Madhav Chirunomula, MD

Regional Medical Director

Dr. Chirunomula joined Stella Partners in June of 2020. He has over 10 years of clinical experience as a hospitalist. As our Regional Medical Director for Missouri, Dr. Chirunomula is passionate about driving quality initiatives and raising the standard of care within our networks LTACHs (Long Term Acute Care Hospitals). He currently overseas two HMS facilities and works with administration to accomplish likewise goals. Dr. Chirunomula enjoys spending time with his wife and son when he is not working. He enjoys gardening and watching space and science documentaries. His other interests include billiards, badminton, golf and pickle ball.

Dawnne Marie Stevens

Senior Director of Program Operations

Dawnne Marie was instrumental in helping Dr. Litwak and Dr. Mistry establish Hospital Medicine Solutions in 2014 as the Director of Operations. As the company grew, so did her role. She oversaw the administrative and operational needs of the hospitalist programs and now serves as the Senior Director of Program Operations working closely with the HMS executive team and the medical directors. Prior to Dawnne Marie joining Hospital Medicine Solutions, she worked at Exeter Hospital and at Core Physicians as a Medical Assistant and a Medical Office Coordinator. Combined, she brings with her 22 plus years’ experience in management and healthcare. In Dawnne Marie’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, providing community service with the Seabrook Community Table and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Karen Prentice

Senior Director of Financial Operations

Karen Prentice joined the company over 5 years ago, starting as a part-time bookkeeper. She has grown with the company in her current role as the Senior Financial Director for Hospital Medicine Solutions. She brings over 30 years of financial experience, starting as a stockbroker with Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette and transitioning to private wealth management for individuals and foundations in recent years. Karen graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1990 with a degree in economics. Karen raised her family in Massachusetts and now lives in a coastal town in Rhode Island. In her free time, Karen enjoys traveling to new destinations with her husband, hiking, kayaking and spending time with her adult children.

Allison Geiger

Financial and Operations Coordinator

Allison joined Stella Partners as a Financial Operations Coordinator in January 2022. Allison comes to Stella Partners with experience in the social services field as a mental health counselor. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in criminal justice from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. In her critical role, she works closely with our partners, managing accounts payables and receivables. She works with program operations on scheduling and HR with payroll. Allison is a great asset to HMS as she is meticulous with her attention to detail. Allison enjoys spending quality time with her family, the Yankee’s, annual family summer vacations to Cape May and original New Haven style pizza.

Diann Sherbak

Director of Human Resources

Diann joined Hospital Medicine Solutions, as the Director of Human Resources, in August 2020. As a Senior Human Resources leader and business partner, Diann oversees and manages all human resources functions across the company, including benefits, compensation, payroll, employee relations, compliance, organizational structure, and human resources information Systems (HRIS). Diann is known for being an excellent communicator, problem solver, subject matter expert and change agent while maintaining the highest ethical standards. Diann also serves as a mentor to others and aligns with business partners to achieve organizational success. Diann earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of New Hampshire and is a certified professional life coach. Diann is a native of New Hampshire and enjoys spending time outside, in all seasons, with her dog Sebastian.
